CV
I studied business information systems (a combination of computer science and economics)
at the University of Mannheim, Germany and the University
of Nice Sophia Antipolis, France from October 1997 until March 2003. I received my diploma in
March 2003, the subject of my diploma thesis was "Hierarchical Location Service for mobile
ad-hoc networks"
Besides my studies, I worked for SAP AG, Walldorf where I developed components in C for the R/3 kernel
and for NetformFive IT GmbH, Ludwigshafen where I worked in the field of codegenerators for
J2EE components.
I received my doctoral degree from the Heinrich Heine University in June 2008,
the title of my thesis was "On Real-World Experiments with Wireless Multihop Networks -
Design, Realization, and Analysis".
Since July 2008, I am head of the research group on practical car-to-car communication.
